Bonus Box - Basically the same thing as a Pizza Box, except that it only appears in bonus stages and is marked with a question mark. Invincibility Box - Makes you temporarily invincible, wiping out all enemies you touch. = Items = Pizza Box - Restores your health several may appear depending on how much health you have. They throw blade-like discs made of electricity and often travel in circular groups. Guard Drones - These things were pretty common in the Starbase stage in the original version, but strangely, only one appears in this entire port of the game! Robot Walkers - Similar to the ones from the 2nd and 3rd NES game, only weaker. Stone Warriors - These hard-headed thugs are back- they use a variety of weapons, such as guns, flamethrowers, or even their bare hands! Heligunners - These futuristic helicopters are equipped with machine guns and are piloted by the foot soldiers. Sometimes they are ridden by foot soldiers. Raptors - These dinos often charge through their land at fast speeds. Pterodactyls - They have been trained by the foot soldiers to drop rocks on you as weapons. Electrified ones appear in the Highway stage. Press buttons to get 'em off you! They never appeared in the arcade version. They take only 2 hits, but they are a major pest if they latch onto your arm. Pizza Monsters - Those memorable monsters from "Case of the Killer Pizzas" are back, and this time in larger numbers! Then can be destroyed in one hit, but watch out for their claws! Mousers - They are the smallest enemies. They never appeared in the arcade version. OUCH! Roadkill Rodneys - Those lovable robots from the second episode! They can shoot laser beams or they can lash out electrified chains! Watch out jump kicks are the most effective on them. Red Foot Soldiers - They tend to use blade-whips. Green Foot Soldiers - These ones are the least common and use bow and arrows. Yellow Foot Soldiers - These ones either throw frisbees or they throw small bombs.
White Foot Soldiers - These ones are frequent users of nunchaku. Blue Foot Soldiers - These ones usually use katanas, sais, or large axes. His sais are the swiftest of the turtles' weapons, but they have the shortest range. Raphael often makes wisecracks and has quite a few hormonal problems. Raphael Age: 16 Color: Red Weapon: Sais Description: The sarcastic, witty turtle. Donatello Age: 15 Color: Purple Weapon: Bo Staff Description: The technical genius of the turtles, he designed and created the turtle van and the turtle blimp he even sent the Technodrome back to Dimension X! His Bo Staff has the longest range of the turtles. Has a huge appetite for pizza and uses a lot of 80s slang and surfer-speak. Michaelangelo Age: 15 Color: Orange Weapon: Nunchaku Description: The wild and crazy party turtle. COWABUNGA!! = The Turtles = Leonardo Age: 17 Color: Blue Weapon: Katana Description: The most mature and experienced of the turtles, his katanas are very strong. Replayability (5/5): I really like this one it has tons of variety (different time periods, bonus stages, etc) and it also has quite a few little mini-games and even a two-player mode! Overall (5/5): This game is great in nearly all areas cool graphics, fun music, witty lines of dialouge and, of course- NINJA TURTLES!! My only problem is that it's a bit short, but then again maybe that's a good thing- look how difficult the NES port of this game was. Difficulty (3/5 - 5/5): It all depends on the difficulty mode the game is pretty easy and short on easy and normal modes however, if you want the good ending, you HAVE to play it on hard mode, which is not so easy. Control (5/5): Very solid! Not much of a problem. (Only the instrumentals are ehard in the Super NES version, though) Sound Effects (5/5): Pretty good, unlike the Turtles 1 and 2 (and most of 3), this game has a ton of voices and lines of dialouge, adding to the effect that you're "playing a cartoon". cowabunga! The credits even play a song performed by the turtles in 1990 called "Pizza Power". Music (5/5): Like most other turtles games, this one has great music the fast-paced Sewer-Surfing music, the thrilling Technodrome theme, the pleasant Neon Night-Riders tune. YES NOgraphics and animation are nowhere near as impressive as the arcade version, still were pretty standard for the Super NES, which was.
